EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
This section of the portfolio showcases several extracurricular activities I was most passionate about while at the University of Florida, accompanied by pictures.
UF Pre-Physician Assistant Association Vice President 2019-2020
During my senior year, I served on the Executive Board of UF's Pre-Physician Assistant Association (PPAA) as Vice President. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating meetings and events with the President, planning the medical mission trip, holding elections for a new executive board, and ordering graduation cords.
UF PPAA Medical Mission Trip
2018 & 2019
During my 2nd and 3rd years at the University of Florida, I attended the PPAA medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic. While there, we held medical clinics in local villages, completed house calls, assisted in local hospitals, and helped to provide direct medical care to over 100 patients each day.
Dance Marathon Leadership Development Captain 2016-2019
Throughout my undergraduate career, I was involved in Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, a student-run philanthropy that raises funds for the children at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital. In addition to fundraising over $4,000, I was a Leadership Development Captain. In this role I was responsible for overseeing and running the Emerging Leaders Program. I worked to cultivate leadership skills for newfound members and helped them to progress their roles within Dance Marathon at UF.
